A revealing peek into the exciting world that is late night at my apartment

Posted September 12, 2007

I needed to take some Target Brand Ibuprofen for a headache. Dinner was a long time ago, so I figured I should eat a little something. But there are no crackers. There is, in fact, no food to speak of here, unless I wanted an entire Lean Cuisine Club Panini or a whole bag of microwave popcorn. I did have peanut butter. Fine, I thought, surely a spoonful of peanut butter would do the trick. Except then I noticed that there were really only a couple of spoonfuls of peanut butter remaining. And then I remembered about the Hershey’s Special Dark syrup in my fridge. I’ve been ignoring a persistent chocolate craving for the past couple of days, so I suppose what happened next was inevitable.

Yes, Internet, I poured the chocolate syrup directly into the peanut butter jar, mixed it up, and ate it with a spoon.

And I’m not sorry.

There is no reason for you to be sorry. How many times have you seen me eat a spoonful of peanut butter with a handful of chocolate chips. Of course I wouldn't have eaten dark chocolate, but I am tempted to try it with milk chocolate syrup!!
This is why I love you!!

Pouring it in...that's great! I have definitely poured it onto the spoonful of peanut butter and added the chocolate chips but never in the container, I love it!

When there's more than a couple of spoonfools in the jar, I just mix it in a bowl.

You should consider starting a new category: Lori's recipe suggestions. I know that they will be very highly received if this is an example of your work.

Peanut butter is just about the best thing on the planet, and I commend your peanut butter/chocolate mixing to the nth degree.

My room mate used to mix peanut butter & maple syrup, which I'm told is quite good.
I never ate any, though.
Because I like to think of myself as not disgusting.

There is something to be said for "comfort food". We sell a lot of fluffanutter sandwiches at our cafe. Yes, that's right, fluffanutter is on our menu and people buy it. (NOTE: We are 5 minutes from a college campus)

Peanutbutter goes with just about everything. For a really special treat, though, you gotta get Nutella.
