I did not think that the deterioration of my body after my thirtieth birthday would be so immediate.
I have injured my shoulder. Was I playing tennis? Swimming, perhaps? Diving into the bushes in order to escape a biker attempting to run me down on the sidewalk? Nope.
I was sleeping.
My age is apparently now sufficiently advanced to the extent that I don't even need to be conscious to hurt myself. I can sustain an injury despite total inactivity. Inactivity carried out in the most favorable environment possible. Comfortable mattress, excellent pillow. I did not fall out of bed or anything. I got in bed, I slept, I woke up like this.
Thirty is a bitch.

I think this situation calls for wine. And chocolate. I'll leave it up to you to determine the required dosage of each.

What's my excuse? I have been sustaining mysterious injuries that I have done nothing to deserve since I can recall. And I am sure I have some sort of chronic fatigue syndrome and that is why I have trouble getting out of bed or standing up from a sitting position. I'm only 28, so am I just prematurely aging? Or am I just a lazy bum/klutz? Nevermind. Don't answer that.

I hear ya loud and clear, but I'm not sure I can blame it on being > 29. I have had all kinds of mysterious aches and pains of varying intensity lasting anywhere from one day to several months. This physical anomaly began for me around the age of eight.

Two weeks from 34 is even more painful. I will spare you the details. Not because I am too generous to scar you so. No, it's because I'm too old to remember how I hurt myself all the time.
Sad.

I'm 37...what doesn't ache? Maybe my eyelids? This post made me laugh and almost want to cry.
