Hey Internet! I wrote something! I mean something not intended for immediate publishing on this website. Or something intended to torture teenage boys with comprehension questions regarding Catcher in the Rye. I've written a lot of those recently. If you happen to know anyone who would be interested in publishing a book of comprehension questions regarding Catcher in the Rye, I will shortly have such a document.
Where was I? Right. Jennifer, who you may know from Mississippi Raw Footage, which I keep in my blogroll in hopes that she will return to blogging and not at all because I never update that thing, emailed me about writing something for her. Because over there above my blogroll is a link titled Hire Me that goes to a writing business website that I also never update.
Jennifer, you see, is an extremely talented musician. You don't have to take my word for it - in just a minute I'm going to give you a link to her website so you can find out for yourself. She went the Get A Real Job route for quite a while and has recently gotten serious about making a career of music. Her husband, who is an extremely smart man, gave her the Valentine gift of her own music website. Because it is extremely difficult to write nice things about yourself without feeling like a jackass and a phony, Jennifer asked me to write those nice things for her.
The website is Jennifer Ramsey Music. You can read about how Jennifer sings and plays guitar and piano AND ukulele (a word I've learned I'm completely incapable of typing correctly on the first try, no matter how many times I do it). And check out her song list - she plays ALL THE SONGS. All of them. Including, might I add, a reggae version of Take On Me that I personally am dying to hear. Because, oh yeah, she also does her own arranging.
AND THAT'S NOT ALL. If you live in the Chicago area, you can hire Jennifer to sing at your party or event. Or you can go see her perform solo or as part of the Art Vandelay Band by checking the website for dates.
I had a lot of fun working with Jennifer on her website. Obviously, writing is something I love to do and Jennifer was a dream to work with. I'm always looking for ways to use my writing ability to help people and make some extra money, so if you or someone you know need something written (resume, cover letter, online dating profile, website copy, marketing materials, etc.) send me an email. Right after you check out Jennifer's website, of course.
