In four years of dating, we've managed to spend our anniversary together twice, which isn't bad, considering. Last year, we even went out on the actual day. This year, Raj is out on a ship somewhere and I'm spending my first full day back in Okinawa. We wouldn't be doing a big thing anyway, since it seems like we should switch to celebrating our wedding anniversary now instead of the anniversary of our first date.
But that won't stop me from putting up a slideshow of our fourth year together. It's ok if you don't want to watch two and a half minutes of Raj and Lori selfies. (Though this year, we have wedding photos, so there are some quality pictures for once.) You can just consider this me backing up my videos. Also, my mom likes it.
Highlights include camping in Alabama, Thanksgiving in Tampa, Christmas in Pensacola, New Year's Eve on the dock, Raj's flight school graduation, Burma, Seoul, Okinawa, and Tokyo. Also the county fair, pumpkin carving, an ugly sweater Christmas party, and our wedding.
Year Four will obviously always be a big one for us. But I'm pretty sure Year Five will have some good stuff for us as well. Like going to meet his ship when they get back to Okinawa. That's a first for us that I'm especially looking forward to, as you might imagine.
Happy dating anniversary, Raj, wherever you might be. Thanks for four action-packed years. Here's to many, many more.
