I'm a special ed reading teacher, grad student, and avid slow jogger, currently somewhere in my 30s. I don't phrase it that way to try to be secretive. It's just that I keep having birthdays and forgetting to change my age on here, so it ends up being wrong quite a bit of the time.
I'm married to Raj, who is my favorite person ever and whose career in the Navy works out well with my chosen lifestyle of being semi-nomadic. We currently live in Okinawa, Japan.
Topics likely to be covered here include my attempts at cooking, my resulting injuries, klutziness-related injuries, travels around Asia, adventures in Okinawa, things I find funny, school (middle or grad), and occasional lefty-lou political rants.
Things I especially like include: cheese, shoes, champagne, books, professional football, intelligent conversation, George Clooney, margaritas, hyperbole, dark chocolate, and passport stamps.
Things I especially dislike include: bad grammar, mushrooms, humidity, political fear-mongering, horror movies, cable news, the way the house just gets dirty again every time I clean it, and stinging insects.
I try to update here a couple of times a week. I am also on the Twitter.
