What are your top three pet peeves?
1. Selfishness. More specifically, the inability or unwillingness to consider how your actions affect people around you and to let that knowledge affect the decisions you make. Here's a small example: I took an overnight train from Savannah to DC one time. Beginning around 11pm in an entirely quiet train car, one woman watched a movie on her laptop with the volume turned up and no headphones. Because apparently she felt that her need to be entertained outweighed the desire of everyone else in the car to get some sleep. I don't understand that kind of attitude and it drives me a little bit insane.
2. Flakiness. If you say you're going to do something, do it. Sure, there are reasonable explanations at times, but we all know those people who can never be counted on to follow through.
3. Whistling. Maybe it's because I live a lot of my life with a headache, but why people feel the need to inflict their high-pitched noise on the rest of us in polite society is a mystery (and huge annoyance) to me.
I'm not sure these are my top three pet peeves, but they were the first three that came to mind. Ok, now you. Complain away.
